The State Financial Monitoring Service has begun inspecting large cash transactions

The State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine has launched a separate analysis of large cash transactions. The focus is on funds used to purchase expensive real estate, luxury cars, and other high-end assets. The purpose of this monitoring is to identify potential financial violations and trace the origin of large sums of cash.

This was announced by the agency’s head, Philip Pronin, on his Telegram channel on Monday.

"The focus is not on everyday purchases or ordinary savings, but on large sums used to acquire high-value assets: expensive real estate, luxury cars, and other premium-segment property," Pronin explained.

He cited the example of purchasing a luxury car worth $100,000 (over 4.3 million UAH), emphasizing that in such cases, verification of the source of funds is mandatory.

A separate risk indicator is identified as cases of cash deposits made through various banking institutions with the reuse of the same income documents. The head of the State Financial Monitoring Service clarified that the agency analyzes the full picture: amounts, frequency, links between transactions, and the actual origin of funds, rather than individual transaction details.

"Cash in itself is not a violation. But when it comes to significant amounts for the purchase of expensive property, the origin of these funds must be clear and verified," Pronin emphasized.

In Italy, the band 1914 was fined for collecting donations for the Defense Forces.

The deputyhead of the State Financial Monitoring Service at the Temporary Investigation Commission pretended that there was no conflict of interest.

As a reminder, the State Financial Monitoring Service is blocking the NABU investigation into Mindich’s company.

The Temporary Investigation Commission will also summon the leadership of the State Border Guard Service regarding the departure of Mindich and Zuckerman.
