The volume of customs exemptions in Ukraine has increased by more than 50% — State Customs Service

In April 2026, the State Customs Service granted customs duty exemptions totaling 37.9 billion hryvnias, which is 52.8% more than during the same period last year.

This was reported by the State Customs Service.

For comparison, in April 2025, the amount of such exemptions was 24.8 billion hryvnias.

In total, the amount of customs preferences accounted for more than half of all customs revenue for the month—51.3% of 73.9 billion hryvnias.

The largest share of the benefits came from exemptions for imports of defense-related goods—20.7 billion hryvnias, or 54.5% of the total.

Significant concessions were also granted for excise goods used in tobacco production, imports under free trade agreements, goods for the restoration of energy infrastructure, and natural gas imports.

The publication "Nashi Hroshi" reported that the Volyn Customs Office is headed by Dmytro Stasenko, the son of Ihor Stasenko, head of the Department of Documentary Support at the Office of the President of Ukraine.

Earlier in Ukraine, a weapons smuggling scheme organized by a U.S. and Ukrainian citizen was uncovered.
