Didenko Announced When the Heat Wave in Ukraine Is Expected to Ease
Hot weather will continue in Ukraine over the next few days, but temperatures are expected to gradually drop as the weekend approaches. This was reported on August 4, 2026, by meteorologist Natalka Didenko, who noted that the heat will intensify in the near future.
According to her, the peak of the heat is expected on August 6. During the day, temperatures will reach +30...+35 degrees, in some places +34...+39 degrees, and in some areas, temperatures may even reach +40.
“Dear Ukrainians—take care of your health, avoid direct sunlight, stay in the shade, don’t stand in awkward positions in your gardens, and generally avoid standing outside between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.,” the expert advised.
According to her forecast, relief is expected as early as the eve of the weekend, on August 7. Residents of the western regions will be the first to feel it.
“The heatwave will begin to ease on August 7, starting in the western regions, and over August 8–9, the drop in air temperature will spread to a significant part of Ukraine,” said Natalka Didenko.
As a reminder, a new heat wave with temperatures reaching up to +35° will hit Ukraine in early August.
The heatwave in Belgium caused the highest rate of excess mortality in Europe.
