Farion's daughter claims the case is being dragged out: the suspect has refused legal representation, and the court hearing has been postponed
A court hearing in Lviv regarding the murder of linguist Iryna Farion was postponed after the suspect, Vyacheslav Zinchenko, dismissed his lawyers.
This was reported by hromadske.
During the hearing, the prosecution stated that it insists on a life sentence for the suspect, emphasizing that a lighter punishment would not ensure justice or public safety.

The victim’s daughter, Sofia Osoba, also spoke in favor of the harshest punishment, emphasizing that this would be a just response by the state to the crime.
At the same time, the suspect’s mother filed a motion to recuse two attorneys, which Zinchenko himself supported. As a result, cooperation with the defense attorneys was terminated.

Because of this, the court hearing was postponed until May 1.
Faryon’s daughter called these actions “a delay of the proceedings” and suggested that the defendant might continue to use such tactics to avoid punishment.
