Two industrial parks for business and manufacturing will be established in Kamianets-Podilskyi

Kamianets-Podilskyi is preparing to launch two new industrial parks, which are expected to serve as a growth engine for the local economy and create more than 1,250 jobs in the city. City council members have already approved the decision, and the projects are viewed as a long-term investment in the development of manufacturing and business.

Kamianets-Podilskyi is launching two industrial parks at once—“Kamianets” and “Podillia”—and this isn’t just about flashy names, but about concrete numbers, new manufacturing facilities, and jobs for people, which the city currently lacks. According to the plan, these sites are intended to become spaces where businesses can more quickly launch production, logistics, and processing operations without unnecessary red tape or delays.

City officials explain that the project’s purpose is simple: to attract investment, revitalize industry, and provide the community with stable budget revenues that can then be directed toward infrastructure and the city’s development. To this end, each park has its own specialization and launch model. The “Kamianets” Industrial Park is planned to be the larger of the two projects: it is expected to attract up to 835 million hryvnias in investments and create up to 750 jobs between 2028 and 2034. The city council also estimates that during this period, the community could receive approximately 224 million hryvnias in budget revenue.

The second project—"Podillia"—will be located in the city’s industrial zone on a 10-hectare site. It will be a privately-owned project focused on developing a metalworking cluster, and its launch will build on existing production facilities. The investment here is estimated at 640 million hryvnias, and about 500 new jobs are expected by 2034.

The city council emphasizes that industrial parks are not a short-term project but a long-term process intended to transform the community’s economic structure, attract businesses, and create conditions where manufacturing is not an exception but an integral part of urban development. There are currently ten industrial parks operating in the Khmelnytskyi region, and most of them were established in recent years, during the full-scale war. City council members adopted the relevant resolution during a session on Thursday.

In Chernivtsi, the first social housing complex in western Ukraine for displaced persons from Mariupol has opened; it can accommodate up to 140 people. Dozens of families have already received their keys, including a particularly large number of military families and those awaiting the return of loved ones from captivity or who have suffered a loss.
