In Ukraine, confidence in security guarantees from Europe and the United States in the event of a new attack has declined.

This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.

According to the study, the share of Ukrainians expecting assistance from Europe fell from 59% in January to 52% in April. At the same time, the number of those who do not believe in EU support rose from 31% to 41%. Despite this, confidence in European guarantees still prevails.

Regarding the U.S., the changes were more pronounced. While at the beginning of the year, the levels of trust and distrust were nearly equal, by April the majority of respondents expressed doubts.

The share of those who do not trust U.S. security guarantees rose from 40% to 57%, while the level of trust fell from 39% to 27%.

The share of those who were undecided also increased: 16% regarding the US, compared to 7% regarding Europe.

More than half of Ukrainian citizens actively use the Telegram messenger, making it the clear leader among social platforms.

According to the survey results, 71% of Ukrainians do not believe that the current negotiations will lead to a lasting peace.
