A soldier's mother was beaten in Lviv for speaking Russian
On August 7 in Lviv, a woman filed a police report alleging that she had been assaulted, which, according to her, occurred because she spoke Russian. Law enforcement officials accepted the report of bodily injury and are establishing the sequence of events and all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The Lviv Regional Police have launched an investigation into a conflict between passengers on a local bus in Lviv, during which a 52-year-old resident of the Dnipropetrovsk region reported sustaining bodily injuries.
According to law enforcement officials, the incident occurred on August 7 at approximately 10:50 a.m. on Okruzhna Street.
“While riding on a bus, a conflict arose between a 52-year-old resident of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and several other passengers, during which a scuffle broke out. The conflict then continued on the street and later inside a pharmacy,” the statement reads.
Patrol police officers and an investigative team were on the scene.
According to police, a beat officer filed administrative charges against the 52-year-old woman under Article 173 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses (“Minor hooliganism”).

In the Holosiivskyi District of Kyiv, an unknown assailant opened fire on a crowd. According to preliminary reports, one person was killed and others were injured.
