Zelenskyy Demands That Parliament Take Action Against Kravchenko and Fraudulent Call Centers

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on members of parliament to support the decision to dismiss Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko during the vote on Tuesday, September 15, as well as the laws against call centers

The head of state noted that he had already suspended Kravchenko by presidential decree and submitted a corresponding motion to the Verkhovna Rada, expressing his conviction that lawmakers would have enough votes to pass the personnel decision.

In addition, the President emphasized the need to put a definitive end to the activities of fraudulent call centers in the country. He called on lawmakers to pass the bills on the agenda that provide for strict criminal liability for operating such schemes.

This is stated in a Telegram post by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Zelenskyy has already called on the Rada to immediately dismiss Prosecutor General Kravchenko.

Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko has submitted his resignation. This was announced on September 7.

Ukrainian Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko resigned amid allegations related to illegal call centers. 

First Deputy Prosecutor General Maria Vdovichenko, who is implicated in an investigation by anti-corruption agencies, resigned from her post and left the prosecutor’s office.
