Over the past week, State Emergency Service units across Ukraine rescued 52 people, responded to nearly 5,500 calls, and extinguished 955 fires, 295 of which occurred in natural ecosystems.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
The State Emergency Service noted that rescuers worked amid intense Russian attacks, particularly in the Kyiv region, Kyiv, and Dnipro, where they addressed the aftermath of strikes on residential buildings and infrastructure.
Emergency responders also fought large-scale fires in ecosystems, including hundreds of hectares of forests in the Chernobyl zone and in the Zhytomyr region.
The agency emphasized that rescuers worked under the threat of repeated shelling, risking their own lives. In particular, in Dnipro, one firefighter suffered burns while responding to a strike on a destroyed warehouse.
