Former Head of the State Emergency Service in Vinnytsia Oblast to Stand Trial for Concealing Assets Worth Over 14.5 Million Hryvnias
The State Bureau of Investigations has completed a pretrial investigation into the former head of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Vinnytsia Oblast, who is accused of making false declarations and abusing his official position.
According to the investigation, between 2020 and 2025, the official registered assets worth over 14.5 million hryvnias in the names of close relatives, although he was in fact the one who used and controlled them. The violations were uncovered during a lifestyle monitoring operation conducted by the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NAZK).
In addition, investigators determined that the former official enlisted subordinates to perform construction and renovation work on his private properties in the Vinnytsia and Kharkiv regions, and also used specialized equipment belonging to the State Emergency Service for this purpose.
To ensure potential confiscation, the court placed a freeze on the defendant’s property with a total value of over 22 million hryvnias.
