Power companies restored electricity to nearly a million households in one week following Russian attacks
From August 31 to September 6, DTEK specialists fully or partially restored power to nearly one million households in 596 communities that had been left without electricity as a result of enemy shelling. Repair work was carried out in the Donetsk, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kyiv regions.
The largest number of restorations was recorded in the Odesa region, where power was restored to more than 366,000 households, as well as in the Donetsk region, where power was restored to nearly 360,000 homes. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, utility workers restored power to nearly 172,000 households, and in the Kyiv region—to about 9,000. Specialists begin repair work immediately after receiving permission and access to the damaged facilities from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

In Kyiv, efforts have begun to build up reserves of food and drinking water in case of prolonged power outages and other emergencies. The city aims to prepare these reserves in advance so they can be used at resilience centers and to assist residents in the event of large-scale disruptions.
A new air threat alert system went into operation in Kyiv on September 6. Now, city residents will receive notifications not only about the fact that a threat exists, but also about its type—drone, missile, or a combination of both.
