Yermak told the court that he is counting on a fair ruling

Andriy Yermak, former head of the Office of the President, stated before the court hearing that he expects a “fair, impartial, and independent” decision. According to him, he expects an objective review of the case and compliance with all procedural rules during the trial.

He made these remarks in a comment to a Ukrinform correspondent before the hearing at the High Anti-Corruption Court.

"I hope for a fair, impartial, and independent (decision – ed.)," he said.

When asked by a journalist to clarify what he considers a “fair and independent” decision, Yermak replied: “Let’s see.”

NABU is investigating pressure exerted by SBU employees on experts in the Yermak case.

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office stated that it will ask the court to impose a preventive measure on former Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak in the form of detention, with the alternative of posting bail in the amount of 180 million hryvnias.
