Yermak commented on whether he would be able to come up with the 180 million hryvnia bail

Andriy Yermak told reporters that he lacked the 180 million hryvnias needed to post bail, noting that he possesses only the assets and funds listed in his official declaration

This was reported by Censor.NET.

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office is seeking to set bail at precisely this amount for the former official. In contrast, the suspect’s defense insists that the amount must correspond to his official income. Attorney Ihor Fomin emphasized the need to adhere to the principle of proportionality when determining a preventive measure.

A court proceeding is currently underway to determine the preventive measure for the former head of the Presidential Office. Andriy Yermak emphasized that he has no hidden assets beyond those previously reported. The court must consider the arguments of both sides before making a final decision on the amount.

The investigation insists on keeping Yermak in custody with a probable bail of 180 million hryvnias, given the scale of financial transactions in the “Dynasty” cottage community. The judge continues to review procedural issues and is setting a schedule for further hearings.

Former Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak stated on the evening of May 11, after receiving a notice of suspicion from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, that he would not comment on the investigation.

The European Commission commented on the Yermak case.
