Undercover officers detected nearly 1,800 traffic violations in Kyiv and the surrounding region in a single day
"Phantom" enforcement vehicles recorded 1,799 traffic violations in Kyiv and the Kyiv region in a single day. All violations were detected automatically.
On September 1, the special vehicles were in operation throughout Kyiv and the Kyiv region. They are equipped with systems that automatically monitor drivers’ compliance with traffic laws.
As a result, 1,799 citations were issued.
Thus, in just one day, the automated system recorded nearly 1,800 traffic violations.
“Phantoms” use special equipment to automatically record traffic violations without patrol officers having to physically stop the vehicle.
The data collected serves as the basis for issuing the corresponding citations.
The patrol police urged drivers to pay closer attention to traffic rules and to drive responsibly.
The scale of the “Phantoms’” operations in the capital and the region indicates that automated monitoring of traffic violations remains one of the key tools for road safety.

During the first 24 hours of the “Phantom Patrols” on the roads of Kyiv and the region, law enforcement officers issued 810 citations for traffic violations.
As a reminder, the police have warned Ukrainians about fake fines for traffic violations.
Fines for speeding will increase sharply in Ukraine.
Over the past year, the number of reserved workers in Ukraine has increased significantly—by approximately 300,000 people—and the number of enterprises recognized as critically important to the economy has also risen. The government attributes these changes to the expansion of exemption mechanisms, particularly for frontline regions, and is preparing to update the regulations.
