Fedorov does not plan to become an advisor to Zelenskyy, but will remain on the president's team
Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov is not considering the position of advisor to the head of state, but will continue to work on President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s team. This was announced by the president’s communications advisor, Dmytro Lytvyn.
“Mykhailo himself said that he does not see himself as an advisor to the President or in some of the other positions they discussed, but, of course, they share a common interest in working together as a team,” Litvin said, according to Ukrinform.
As a reminder, on July 16, rallies in support of Mykhailo Fedorov took place for the second time that day in Kyiv, Lviv, and Lutsk following reports of his resignation as defense minister. Participants called on the authorities to continue the reforms that have already begun and to transparently select new leadership for the Ministry of Defense.
Russian Z-bloggers reacted positively to Mykhailo Fedorov’s dismissal as Ukraine’s defense minister, claiming that this could allegedly weaken the Ukrainian army.
