After leaving his job, Fedorov is launching his own defense tech company
Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov is working on launching his own defense technology company. Alex Karp, CEO of the American technology company Palantir, is set to become the project’s first key investor.
Fedorov announced the launch of the new project on September 1. According to him, the company aims to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities and develop technologies that could contribute to global security.
Fedorov has not yet disclosed details regarding the company’s structure, the amount of investment, or specific developments.
Karp confirmed his willingness to collaborate with Fedorov and his team. He noted that the new project should draw on Ukraine’s experience gained during the current technological war.
Palantir is already collaborating with Ukraine in the field of defense technologies. In particular, the company’s solutions have been used to analyze airstrikes, process intelligence data, and plan operations.
While still serving as defense minister, Fedorov met with Karp to discuss the use of artificial intelligence in the military sphere. They also developed the Brave1 Dataroom platform, which provides developers with access to battlefield data for training AI models.
