A person implicated in the Bihus.Info investigation failed the BEB certification and was dismissed

Serhiy Zhuravlev, deputy head of the Volyn regional office of the Economic Security Bureau, was dismissed from his position for failing to pass the Economic Security Bureau’s employee performance evaluation. 

Earlier, journalists discovered that after Zhuravlev joined the civil service, his family had amassed assets worth millions, including luxury cars, an apartment in Dnipro, office space, and a house near Lutsk. 

The official himself attributed these assets to investments made by his father, who, according to investigators, obtained a Russian passport and is currently residing in the occupied territory, without having any official income to cover such purchases.

According to media reports, Oleg Borisenko, head of the regional office in Chernivtsi Oblast, and Serhiy Muntian, head of the regional office in Odesa Oblast, also failed the background check during the BEB’s restructuring.

The High Anti-Corruption Court granted the claim filed by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office and ruled to confiscate, for the benefit of the state, the assets of Lyudmyla Slotyuk, the former head of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in the Chernihiv region, her mother, and her son, totaling over 8.5 million hryvnias.

Serhiy Hrynchyshyn, the former head of a department at the Odesa Customs Office, resigned from his position and declared over $240,000 in cash amid civil forfeiture proceedings. 

The former deputy head of the Ternopil Regional State Administration had his property confiscated and was sentenced to 8 years in prison.
