Ukrainian military personnel are continuing their training in the United Kingdom as part of the international "Interflex" operation.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the current phase of basic military training, the soldiers are practicing skills that directly impact survival on the battlefield, including providing medical care under fire.
Specifically, the program includes stopping massive bleeding using tourniquets and hemostatic agents, ensuring airway patency, decompressing a tension pneumothorax, and evacuating the wounded from the line of fire using tactical medicine protocols.
The General Staff notes that the training lasts five intensive weeks and covers the full range of basic combat skills necessary for modern warfare.
Operation Interflex was launched by the United Kingdom in June 2022 as part of international support for Ukraine. It involves instructors from 13 countries who provide training to Ukrainian military personnel and help enhance their combat capabilities.
Prior to this, the United Kingdom announced the provision of the largest package of drones in the history of the United Kingdom to Ukraine. Under this initiative, at least 120,000 drones will be delivered by 2026.
Earlier, Canadian Defense Minister David McGinty announced the transfer of a new, substantial package of defense support to Ukraine. It will include 383 “Senator” armored vehicles manufactured by Roshel, which have already proven themselves on the front lines, as well as 66 modern LAV-6 armored personnel carriers.
