Forecasters predict warmer weather in Ukraine this weekend
The cold weather that has set in across Ukraine is expected to last for a few more days.
This was reported by meteorologist Natalka Didenko on Facebook.
According to her, air temperatures in most regions are currently hovering between +7 and +10 degrees. Only in the south and southeast of the country are temperatures expected to reach +9 to +13 degrees.
“For now, cold weather will remain in Ukraine,” the meteorologist noted.
At the same time, according to the forecast, warmer weather is expected as early as this weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, temperatures will rise to +12…+16 degrees.
“On Saturday and Sunday, it will warm up to +12…+16 degrees,” Didenko reported.
However, there is an exception in the forecast: on Sunday, May 3, temperatures in southern Ukraine may drop again to +8…+11 degrees due to precipitation.
Separately, experts previously noted that this April could rank among the coldest in the last 30 years, though forecasters do not consider the situation abnormal.
As meteorologist Vitaliy Postrygan explained, frosts and even snow in April occur regularly, as this is a transitional month between winter and summer. He noted that similar phenomena have been recorded before; in particular, snow cover was observed in some regions as recently as last April.
According to experts, temperature fluctuations and brief cold snaps are typical for this time of year.
On Wednesday, April 29, unstable weather is expected in Ukraine—no precipitation at night but with frost, and light rain during the day. The maximum air temperature will rise to +14°C.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center released a forecast for the second month of spring, according to which temperatures and precipitation will remain within the climatic norm.
