Ukraine calls for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council following the Russian attack
Ukraine is calling for an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council and an emergency meeting of OSCE bodies following a massive Russian attack.
This was announced by Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga.
According to him, Ukrainian diplomatic missions have been instructed to utilize all available international response mechanisms following yet another Russian strike on civilian infrastructure.
Sybiga stated that Ukraine demands the immediate convening of a UN Security Council meeting, as well as a joint meeting of the OSCE Forum for Security Cooperation and the OSCE Permanent Council.
The Foreign Minister emphasized that international organizations, including the UN, OSCE, Council of Europe, and UNESCO, must respond decisively to Russia’s actions.
According to the minister, Moscow is attempting to compensate for its failures on the front lines by terrorizing the civilian population, attacking residential buildings, schools, museums, and critical infrastructure.
