In Khmelnytskyi, a man opened fire on a car on the road
In Khmelnytskyi, police detained a man who, on April 28, opened fire on cars using a weapon resembling an air gun.
This was reported by the Khmelnytskyi Regional Patrol Police on Telegram.
The incident occurred on Instytutska Street during a patrol. Law enforcement officers noticed a man who suddenly began shooting. He fired several shots, hitting a parked civilian car and a passing police vehicle.
Patrol officers detained the suspect using handcuffs and special equipment. An investigative team was called to the scene to determine all the circumstances.
No one was injured as a result of the incident.
Investigators opened a criminal case under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—hooliganism committed with the use of weapons or objects adapted to inflict bodily harm.
As a reminder, on the evening of Sunday, April 26, a shooting occurred at the “Historical Museum” metro station in Kharkiv. The incident was caused by a man under the influence of alcohol.
Earlier, law enforcement officers detained a 35-year-old man who, on the afternoon of April 24, fired a shot on Shukhevych Street, causing alarm among residents. As determined by patrol officers and the investigative team at the scene, the suspect used a starter pistol, firing at the asphalt pavement.
In Lviv, a shooting occurred in one of the apartments of a high-rise building. Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene promptly. Police detained a man suspected of firing the shots. The circumstances of the incident are currently being investigated.
In Zakarpattia, police are trying to locate the parents of a ninth-grader who opened fire at a school and wounded another student. According to law enforcement, the teenager is currently refusing to speak with psychologists.
