The General Staff launched an internal investigation following an attack on TCC employees in Lviv
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the launch of an internal investigation following an incident in Lviv, where military personnel from the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TRSSC) were attacked during mobilization activities.
The General Staff noted that the investigation is intended to determine the legality of the actions taken by the service members involved in the incident.
“An internal investigation is underway regarding the legality of the actions of service members of the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support. If violations are found, those responsible will be held accountable in accordance with the law,” the agency emphasized.
At the same time, the General Staff strongly condemned any acts of violence against TCS military personnel, emphasizing that such actions are unacceptable, illegal, and undermine Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
The statement also noted that the events in Lviv bear the hallmarks of obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In this regard, the General Staff called on law enforcement agencies to ensure a comprehensive, objective, and impartial investigation and to hold all those involved in unlawful actions accountable.
The agency separately emphasized that any disputes regarding the legality of military personnel’s actions must be resolved exclusively within the legal framework, and the use of force or violence cannot be justified under any circumstances.
Earlier, Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, and the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense had already responded to the incident.
“Think about who will defend you from the enemy army tomorrow,” Budanov told citizens, commenting on the attack on the military personnel.
The Ministry of Defense also stated that any violence against military personnel is unacceptable, and that those responsible for such actions must be held accountable regardless of the circumstances.
