Gnezdilov claimed he was under pressure after posting in support of Fedorov

Serhiy Gnezdilov, a servicemember, stated that after he posted a message in support of former Acting Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov, his commanders began to put pressure on him.

According to the soldier, he posted the message in the evening, and by the next morning, as Gnezdilov claims, unidentified individuals had contacted all of his commanders.

“I posted the message at 9:00 p.m. By 6:00 a.m. the next day, all my commanders had already received calls,” he wrote.

Gnezdilov also expressed sympathy for his commanders, noting that, in his words, they are the ones facing the most pressure.

Earlier, Alina Mikhailova, a female service member and volunteer, also spoke out about the pressure being exerted on military personnel who support peaceful protests. According to her, this pressure can take the form of reprimands, personnel decisions, and “preventive” conversations with command.

As a reminder, on July 16, rallies in support of Mykhailo Fedorov took place for the second time that day in Kyiv, Lviv, and Lutsk following reports of his resignation as defense minister. Participants called on the authorities to continue the reforms that have already begun and to transparently determine the new leadership of the Ministry of Defense.

Russian Z-bloggers reacted positively to Mykhailo Fedorov’s dismissal as Ukraine’s defense minister, claiming that this could allegedly weaken the Ukrainian army.
