Thunderstorms, hail, and squalls: Forecasters have issued a weather warning for Ukraine on May 19

On Tuesday, May 19, unstable weather is forecast for Ukraine, with brief showers and thunderstorms; hail and squalls are possible in some regions.

This is reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

According to the forecast, precipitation is expected in some areas overnight, and during the day, brief showers and thunderstorms will cover almost the entire country. In the southern and most central regions, hail and squalls with wind speeds of 15–20 m/s are possible in some areas during the day.

Winds will be predominantly northwesterly, 5–10 m/s.

The air temperature at night will be 11–16°, and during the day 21–26°. In the eastern and northeastern regions, the air will warm up to 29°, while in the west it will be cooler: 7–12° at night and 18–23° during the day.

In Kyiv and the surrounding region, cloudy weather with some sunny breaks, brief rain, and thunderstorms are expected. In the capital, temperatures will range from 14–16° at night to 23–25° during the day.
