Young men born in 2009 must register for military service immediately
In Ukraine, the process of registering young men for military service who will turn or have already turned 17 in 2026 is underway. Young men born in 2009 must complete this procedure by July 31.
There are two ways to register for military service: online or in person. To do so, young men can use the conscript’s electronic account in the “Reserve+” app or through the “Diya” portal. It is also possible to apply at the district Military Registration and Enlistment Office (TCK) and Social Services Office (SP) at the place of registration.
After successfully completing the procedure in the “Reserve+” app or on the “Diya” portal, an electronic military registration document (e-VRD) is automatically generated. It can be presented at educational institutions in either digital or printed form.
The TCC emphasizes that if a young man is not yet registered for military service, the electronic document will not be generated automatically—the registration process must be completed first.
At the same time, individuals serving sentences in correctional facilities, as well as those subject to compulsory medical measures, are not registered for military service.
The agency reminded the public that possession of a military registration document is a prerequisite for further education and enrollment in educational institutions.
This was reported on July 27 by the Volyn Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support.
As a reminder, the Army+ app now features an electronic military registration document that allows servicemembers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service (SSTS) to quickly verify their status using a smartphone.
The Ministry of Defense has clarified the procedure for automatically extending deferments in “Reserve+.”
