Koretsky has ordered an assessment of the regions' readiness and is awaiting a report by the end of the week
Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky has instructed the relevant ministries and agencies to review how the regions are implementing their approved resilience plans.
According to him, he expects to receive a realistic picture of the implementation of these plans by the end of this week. The responsible authorities must also identify problem areas and address gaps that could affect the regions’ readiness for potential challenges.
“I have convened the relevant ministries and agencies to address the unsatisfactory implementation of resilience plans. By the end of the week, I expect to receive a clear picture of the situation in each area: what has been done, where the greatest risks lie, and where urgent improvements are needed,” Koretsky wrote on his Telegram channel.
The Prime Minister emphasized that it is critically important to clearly understand the existing gaps and shortcomings, as well as the ways to address them.
“Monitoring of plan implementation will be ongoing. Next, there will be an expanded meeting with the participation of regional administration heads and heads of state-owned companies,” he added.
As previously reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he is dissatisfied with the percentage of work completed under the regional resilience plans for preparing for the coming winter.
