The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated 12.8 billion hryvnias for the protection of critical infrastructure

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a decision to allocate more than 12.8 billion hryvnias from the state budget’s reserve fund to strengthen the protection of critical infrastructure and implement regional resilience plans.

This was reported by the Ministry of Economy.

The funds will be directed primarily toward facilities in the fuel and energy sector, transportation infrastructure—including railways—and systems that support the population’s livelihood.

The funding will cover new construction, reconstruction, major repairs, and the implementation of engineering and technical measures to protect these facilities.

Specifically, the Recovery Agency will receive 3.46 billion hryvnias for priority infrastructure projects, and an additional 9.39 billion hryvnias will be allocated to regional administrations for the implementation of measures on the ground.

The government emphasized that special attention is being paid to the implementation of comprehensive resilience plans for regions and cities.

The Ukrainian government has officially begun preparations for the next heating season without waiting for the current one to end.

As a reminder, the government has raised the limits on war risk insurance for businesses.

Svyrydenko also stated that there will be no disaster with the state budget in April.
