The number of companies with private security services in Ukraine has risen to 81
In Ukraine, 81 companies have already received authorization to participate in a pilot project on private air defense. As of mid-July, there were 51 such companies.
In total, the Ministry of Defense received applications from 92 companies from various regions and sectors. Eighty-one of them have already been granted the appropriate status.
The pilot project was launched in late 2025. Its goal is to strengthen the protection of businesses and other facilities that are regularly targeted by Russian drone attacks.
At the same time, the private air defense system does not operate independently. Its mobile units are integrated into the overall airspace defense system and operate under the command of the Ukrainian Air Force.

As a reminder, air defense forces in the Kyiv region engaged Russian drones.
Earlier, three Ukrainians fighting for Russia were taken prisoner in Chasiv Yar.
On September 15, a Russian drone strike was recorded in the Sviatoshynsky district of Kyiv.
