Prospective students were reminded of the registration deadline for the entrance exams
Some applicants to bachelor’s degree programs need to register immediately to participate in a creative competition or attend an interview. The deadlines for submitting applications are fast approaching.
This applies to applicants for whom such tests are mandatory requirements for admission to higher education institutions. Without timely registration, they will not be able to participate in the competitive selection process.
Prospective students are advised not to delay submitting their documents and to check in advance the requirements of their chosen university regarding creative competitions and interviews.
Who Needs to Register for a Creative Competition
According to information from the Ministry of Education and Science, registration for creative competitions or aptitude tests—for admission to bachelor’s programs—is required only for applicants who are applying:
art-related majors;
art programs;
architecture programs;
sports programs.
Who Needs to Register for an Interview
Registration for an interview is required for certain categories of applicants who are eligible to take an interview instead of the National Multidisciplinary Test (NMT).
This applies, in particular, to applicants:
with special privileges;
with special admission conditions.
“If you do not have preferential status and the majors you have chosen do not require competitive admission, wait for the start of the application period (beginning July 19),” the Ministry of Education and Science emphasized.
Who Needs to Register and by When
The Ministry of Education and Science reminded applicants that the registration schedule for creative competitions and interviews for admission to bachelor’s programs differs for those planning to enroll on a state-funded basis and those relying solely on a contract basis.
Thus, registration for creative competitions and interviews for admission to state-funded and self-funded programs:
began on Friday, July 3;
ends on Friday, July 10 (by 6:00 p.m.).
Meanwhile, registration for admission solely on a self-pay basis:
began on Friday, July 3;
ends on Saturday, July 25 (by 6:00 p.m.).
How to Register for a Creative Competition or Interview
To register for creative competitions or interviews for admission to a bachelor’s program, you must use the applicant’s electronic account on the Unified State Electronic Database on Education (https://vstup.edbo.gov.ua).
It is worth noting that EDBO is the Unified State Electronic Database on Education.
It stores data on educational institutions, high school diplomas, test results (NMT/ZNO), and student ID cards.
In general, applicants’ personal accounts on the EDEBO system are active from June 25 through October 15, 2026.
