Martynkiv stated that LGBT people and child-free individuals are harming Ukraine due to the demographic crisis
Ruslan Martsinkiv, the mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, believes that the promotion of LGBT and childfree ideology is having a negative impact on Ukraine’s demographic situation during the war.
According to him, the main threat to the state right now is depopulation and a sharp decline in the birth rate. In this regard, he believes the state should support family values and encourage people to have children.
Martsynkiv emphasized that his criticism is directed not at specific individuals, but at ideologies which, in his view, do not contribute to overcoming the demographic crisis.
The mayor also commented on the childfree movement, stating that under martial law, such views should not be actively promoted, as the issue of population preservation is crucial for the country’s future.
