Latvian Defense Minister Raivis Melnis has arrived in Kyiv
Latvian Defense Minister Raivis Melnis has arrived in Ukraine as part of his first official visit abroad in his current role. During his stay in Kyiv, the head of the Latvian Defense Ministry will hold meetings focused on security issues and continued support for Ukraine.
Several high-level meetings are scheduled for the head of the Latvian Defense Ministry in Kyiv.
The purpose of the meetings is to strengthen military cooperation between the two countries, discuss the participation of Latvian industry in supporting Ukraine’s defense, and establish joint ventures, the ministry added.

As a reminder, Latvia is preparing a new batch of cars for Ukraine, confiscated from drunk drivers
Thirty-two vehicles have arrived in Ukraine from Latvia and will be handed over to the military and the National Police.
Latvia has also transferred a new batch of Patria 6x6 armored personnel carriers to Ukraine.
