The Ministry of Education and Science has announced competitions for the positions of rector at four universities in Kyiv and Dnipro
The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has announced competitions to fill the positions of rector at the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, the Dnipro Polytechnic National Technical University, the Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, and the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design.
This is evidenced by an announcement on the Ministry of Education’s official website.
Ukrainian citizens who are fluent in the state language in accordance with established standards, hold an academic degree and academic title, and have at least ten years of experience working in scientific and teaching positions are eligible to participate in the competitions. The application period is two months from the date of publication of the announcement on the Ministry of Education’s official website.
It is noted that from October 2025 to March 2026, the Ministry of Education has announced competitions to fill the positions of rectors at 22 universities in Dnipro, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Kropyvnytskyi, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Chernihiv, Sumy, Zhytomyr, Bila Tserkva, and Kyiv, specifically: the Odesa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture, the Semen Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute," Kharkiv National Pedagogical University named after H. S. Skovoroda, National University of Food Technologies, Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, Vinnytsia National Technical University, Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University named after Mykhailo Kotsyubynsky, Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University, Central Ukrainian National Technical University, Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, A. S. Makarenko Sumy State Pedagogical University, Sumy State University, Polissia National University, Dnipro State Agrarian and Economic University, I. I. Mechnikov Odessa National University, Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University, the National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute," the State University "Zhytomyr Polytechnic," Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University, and Khmelnytskyi National University.
Earlier, the ministry reported that approximately 60 rector elections are planned in Ukraine for 2025–2026.
