Almost 200 million tons of cargo have been transported through Ukraine's maritime corridor — Kuleba
Since the Ukrainian maritime corridor began operations, more than 197 million tons of cargo have been transported through Ukrainian ports. Of this total, approximately 117 million tons is grain.
This was announced by Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Kuleba following a working trip to the Odesa region.
"Despite constant Russian terror, Ukrainian ports continue to operate, ensure exports, support the economy, and perform a critically important function for many countries around the world," Kuleba noted.
According to him, for Ukraine, the effective operation of ports is a matter of national resilience, uninterrupted logistics, community support, and global food security. This is precisely why Russia systematically attacks grain terminals, energy infrastructure, and logistics routes.
Kuleba emphasized that some ports are already showing good results in implementing defense systems. In particular, mobile air defense fire groups are being created, and other solutions are being implemented that allow terminals to remain operational even during attacks. There are plans to extend this experience to other port facilities in the region.
The government has allocated220 million hryvnias for loans to farmers in 2026.
The Cabinet of Ministers has simplified the conditions for agricultural producers to receive state funding for humanitarian demining of their lands. The changes are intended to accelerate the resumption of field cultivation and ensure the safety of farmers.
We previously reported that Ukraine exported approximately 85 million tons of cargo via the maritime corridor, of which 56 million tons were grains.
