The IMF will consider revising its program for Ukraine in the coming weeks

The International Monetary Fund plans to review the first review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program for Ukraine in the coming weeks, which provides for the disbursement of a second tranche of approximately $690 million.

The exact date of the IMF Executive Board meeting has not yet been announced. According to IMF spokesperson Julia Kozak, details will be announced after the schedule is finalized.

Earlier, Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko reported that the meeting could take place on July 20, and that the Ukrainian side had already submitted all necessary documents to the IMF.

Ukraine expects the International Monetary Fund to approve a new tranche of $690 million by mid-July. The decision is to be made by the IMF Executive Board following the completion of the program review. The parties have already agreed on key parameters and the next steps for reforms.

The International Monetary Fund recommends that Ukraine increase budget revenues by improving tax administration and combating the shadow economy.
