The Ministry of Internal Affairs has warned about a new type of mine used by Russia to mine Ukrainian territories
In Ukraine, cases of remote mining using improvised explosive devices of the “Pryanyk” type are being recorded increasingly often, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
This was announced by the Communications Department of the Ministry, which also released relevant photos.
“These munitions are difficult to detect and can be disguised as stones, blending in with soil, grass, or even asphalt. The enemy scatters them remotely and in large quantities, which significantly increases the risk to civilians,” the Ministry stated.
The Ministry also reminded that if a suspicious object is found, people should immediately move to a safe distance and report it by calling 101 or 112.
“Never attempt to neutralise an explosive device yourself,” the Ministry stressed.
Service centres of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are temporarily not operating.
