In Bukovina, authorities are searching for a man who opened fire on police officers during a search
On Tuesday, July 28, in the village of Yizhivtsi in the Chernivtsi District, a 54-year-old man opened fire on two police officers during a search, after which he fled toward a wooded area. Law enforcement launched a special police operation in the region to locate and apprehend him.
The incident occurred in the morning during investigative activities as part of a criminal case involving the illegal handling of firearms. According to law enforcement officials, during the search, the man fired several shots from a hunting rifle at the police officers and then fled.
As a result of the shooting, two law enforcement officers were wounded. They are receiving the necessary medical care.
A special police operation has been launched in the Chernivtsi region to locate and apprehend the armed man. The necessary police forces and resources have been deployed for the search.
Law enforcement officials are urging residents of the region to remain vigilant. At the same time, the police emphasize that you must not attempt to detain the armed man on your own.

In the capital, Stanislav Luchanov, commander of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade, who had previously deserted his unit, was detained. His soldiers are suspected of involvement in the murder of two brothers in the Kyiv region.
