"One-Stop Veteran Service Desks" have begun operating at all Administrative Service Centers across Ukraine
"One-Stop Veteran Service Windows" have begun operating at Administrative Service Centers (ASC) throughout Ukraine.
This new service was created so that veterans and family members of fallen defenders of Ukraine can access government services more quickly and conveniently in one place.
Through the “Single Window for Veterans,” citizens can access more than 20 government services, including:
- obtaining combatant status;
- obtaining the status of a person with a war-related disability;
- obtaining the status of a family member of a fallen Defender of Ukraine and other statuses provided for by law;
- obtaining, renewing, or replacing relevant certificates;
- submitting an application for a one-time cash benefit;
- processing compensation for housing rent for Defenders;
- obtaining information from the Unified State Register of War Veterans;
- submitting applications for other administrative services provided by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
One of the main advantages of the new service is the ability to submit certain applications regardless of one’s registered place of residence.
In particular, through any Administrative Service Center in Ukraine, veterans and family members of fallen servicemembers can apply for:
- establishing the status of a person with a war-related disability;
- obtaining the status of a family member of a fallen Defender of Ukraine.
The introduction of the “Unified Veterans’ Service Windows” is intended to make accessing government services simpler, faster, and more accessible for war veterans, military personnel, and the families of fallen Ukrainian defenders.
As a reminder, Kyrylo Budanov has been appointed head of the newly established Coordination Council, which is tasked with enhancing the effectiveness of the system for protecting veterans, prisoners of war, and the families of fallen soldiers and those missing in action. The council includes representatives from key government institutions, law enforcement agencies, and relevant ministries, which will enable the coordination of efforts among various agencies on these issues.
