In Donetsk Oblast, a couple of soldiers from the 93rd Brigade got engaged among the slag heaps (photo)
Maria and Andriy, soldiers with the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade “Kholodny Yar,” got engaged in the Donetsk region under the open sky, surrounded by slag heaps. A military chaplain officiated the ceremony for the couple. The couple chose to mark this special moment near the front lines, where they are currently serving.
In Kramatorsk, Ukrainian servicemen got married outdoors. The bride wore a traditional Ukrainian embroidered blouse and a veil, while the groom wore a military uniform. The couple was married by a military chaplain.

A female soldier from the 93rd Brigade posted a photo of the couple and wrote: “In the place where the most beautiful sun rises, where all roads, covered in barbed wire, lead to the battlefield, where Life and Death play chess—somewhere out there, beyond the slag heaps, love blossoms.”


As a reminder, the 118th Brigade was entered into the Ukrainian Book of Records for its defense of Malaya Tokmachka.
Total combat losses of Russian troops from February 24, 2022, to May 24, 2026, amount to approximately 1,355,920 personnel. Over the past 24 hours, 1,110 soldiers have been eliminated.
