A cold snap accompanied by rain is expected to hit Ukraine on May 28

The weather in Ukraine is set to change in the coming days: after a relatively warm Tuesday, forecasters are predicting rain, thunderstorms, and a noticeable drop in temperatures by the end of the week.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

On May 26, variable cloudiness is expected in Ukraine, mostly without precipitation. Light, short-lived showers are possible during the day in some areas of the northern and eastern regions, as well as in the Cherkasy, Poltava, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Forecasters also warned of strong winds. In most regions, except for Zakarpattia, gusts of 15–20 m/s are forecast during the day. A yellow danger level has been declared.

Temperatures at night will range from 11–16 degrees Celsius, and during the day from 21–26 degrees; in Zakarpattia, temperatures will reach up to 30 degrees. In the east and northeast, it will be cooler—17–22 degrees.

In Kyiv on May 26, variable cloudiness is expected, with brief showers possible in some areas during the day. Temperatures in the capital will range from +14 to +16 degrees at night and from +22 to +24 degrees during the day.

As early as May 27, brief showers are forecast in most regions, with thunderstorms in some areas.

The most noticeable drop in temperature is expected on May 28—temperatures across the country will drop by 3–5 degrees.
