190 kilometers of anti-drone nets have already been installed on the roads of the Kherson region
190 kilometers of protective corridors have been set up along the roads of the Kherson region to counter enemy drones. The government has allocated 96 million hryvnias to install anti-drone nets along the region’s priority highways to ensure the safe evacuation of people and the delivery of humanitarian aid.
This was reported by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
Special net structures protect civilian transport, military personnel, and emergency service vehicles from attacks by Russian drones. The project is being implemented through a joint effort by the Kherson Regional State Administration and the Ministry of Defense. According to the head of government, the security of these logistics routes is critically important for the survival of communities under constant shelling.
Work on setting up the protective corridors is currently underway. Similar security measures are planned for other frontline regions—specifically, in Sumy, the need to protect 21 kilometers of roads has already been identified.
Media reports have emerged that a fee is being charged at the bus station in Kherson for entering an area covered by anti-drone netting. The amount mentioned was 10 hryvnias. The regional military administration commented on this situation and provided an explanation.
Russian troops attacked Kherson and the region, resulting in two deaths and 18 injuries.
