A bus traveling from Kyiv to Burgas overturned in the Khmelnytskyi region: there are casualties

A traffic accident occurred in the Khmelnytskyi region involving a tour bus traveling on the Kyiv–Burgas (Bulgaria) route.

The accident occurred on June 23 at approximately 4:40 p.m. on Highway H-03 near the village of Shatava in the Kamianets-Podilskyi district.

According to preliminary findings from the investigation, the 46-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle, causing the bus to veer into a ditch and overturn. There were 54 passengers and a relief driver on board.

The number of casualties is currently being determined. Law enforcement officers and rescue workers are on the scene. Authorities are considering whether to open a criminal case regarding violations of traffic safety regulations.

As a reminder, a major traffic accident involving two passenger cars occurred on the Kyiv–Pereyaslav highway near the village of Rogoziv in the Boryspil district. Four people were killed in the accident, and three others were injured.

The day before, a farewell ceremony was held at the St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery in Kyiv for two beat officers from the Solom— Lieutenant Denys Budchenko and Senior Lieutenant Dmytro Bondarchuk.
