A funeral was held in the Kyiv region for the slain Moseychuk brothers
On July 15, a funeral service was held in the village of Kalynivka, Kyiv Oblast, for brothers Maksym and Roman Moseychuk. Soldiers from the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade are suspected of their murder, and during the event, a motorcycle rally was held near the home of the suspected brigade commander, Luchanov.
More than two hundred people—relatives, friends, comrades, and community members—came to pay their last respects to the deceased.
Yuriy Bogdanov, head of the Rokytne community, emphasized that the brothers were sincere, responsible people who never had any conflicts with the community or law enforcement.
“The Moseychuk brothers, who were killed by their executioners, were kind and sincere, responsible, and incredibly compassionate. That’s what these young men were like. They never caused any trouble—neither with me, as the community head, nor with the village elder, nor with the police. They just lived their lives. In 2023, we all laid their father to rest, and the entire community paid tribute to him and to their heroic deeds. But today, unfortunately, such a tragedy has befallen the Moseychuk family and the community,” he emphasized.
According to him, everyone involved in the crime must face just punishment.

“All those guilty are already in the dock. The trial will be fair. Our goal—and that of law enforcement—is to ensure that those responsible for the murder of our young men do not evade accountability and receive just punishment. We will remember our fellow townspeople. May they rest in peace and find their place in heaven,” Bogdanov added.
The funeral procession passed by the home of Stanislav Luchanov, commander of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade, who is suspected of involvement in the crime.
The fence bore inscriptions condemning the suspects, including “executioners,” “murderers,” and others. In addition, those attending the funeral unfurled Ukrainian flags and held up signs reading “A rank does not give the right to kill” and “It is not the noise that kills, but impunity,” and they also staged a motorcycle rally near Luchanov’s house.

Prior to this, the court remanded the former commander of the 155th Mechanized Brigade into custody in connection with the murder of the Moseychuk brothers.
Earlier, in the case of the brutal murder of two residents of the village of Kalynivka in the Kyiv region, law enforcement detained another suspect. In total, ten people have already been detained in connection with the case, including military personnel and the former commander of the 155th Brigade. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that all those responsible must face just punishment.
In the capital, Stanislav Luchanov, the commander of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade, who had previously left his unit without authorization, was detained. His soldiers are suspected of involvement in the murder of two brothers in the Kyiv region.
