Thunderstorms are approaching the Kyiv region: a yellow alert has been issued

Thunderstorms are expected in Kyiv and the Kyiv region on Sunday, July 12. Meteorologists have issued a Level I (yellow) hazard warning due to adverse weather conditions and have urged residents of the region to exercise caution.

 

This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

“Thunderstorms are expected in the coming hour and will continue through the end of the day on July 12. Level I hazard warning, yellow,” the statement reads.

Experts recommend avoiding staying near billboards, power lines, and large trees during a thunderstorm and not parking vehicles near them.

If a tree has fallen or branches have broken, call the emergency dispatch service of the Kyivzelenbud Municipal Enterprise at 044-272-4018.

If anyone is injured, call 103 immediately.
