More than 213 km of anti-drone defenses have been installed along Ukraine's major roads
In August, 213 km of anti-drone defenses were installed along Ukraine’s main logistics routes. The work was carried out by the State Special Transport Service on behalf of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
In total, since the beginning of 2026, 1,382.6 km of key logistics routes have been equipped with protective structures.
What Has Been Done
As noted, the protected roads save the lives of Ukrainian servicemen, safeguard military equipment, and enhance the units’ ability to carry out combat missions.
For example, last month in frontline regions:
213.1 km of anti-drone protection were built;
129.3 km of roads were repaired.
Work is ongoing at 23 sites
In total, since the start of restoration work in April, 551.3 km of roads have undergone routine repairs and maintenance.
Work is currently underway on 23 sections, while another 33 have already been fully completed.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Defense is stepping up anti-drone protection along front-line routes.
On the night of July 18, Ukrainian UAVs attacked the Russian logistics center Wildberries in Elektrostal, near Moscow, and in the Tomsk region.
On July 18, Ukrainian drones struck 13 Russian vessels in the Azov and Black Seas.
