Media outlets are reporting on searches at Prosecutor General Kravchenko's office; the Prosecutor General's Office has denied this
According to sources at “Ukrainska Pravda,” detectives from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and prosecutors from the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) are conducting searches at the offices of Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko, his deputy Maria Vdovichenko, and the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleg Kiper. At the same time, the Office of the Prosecutor General denied that searches were being conducted at Kravchenko’s
residence
Mariana Gayovska, a
spokesperson for the Office of the Prosecutor General, stated that no investigative actions were carried out either at the Prosecutor General’s home or in his office.
However, according to sources cited by “Ukrainska Pravda,” the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) are conducting searches at the residences of Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko, his deputy Mariya Vdovichenko, and the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleg Kipper. This is part of a special operation to expose a criminal organization that provided protection to call centers.
As a reminder, on September 4, NABU and the SAPO carried out a special operation to expose a criminal organization which, according to investigators, is headed by an official from the Office of the Prosecutor General.
Media reports indicate that, as part of this case, law enforcement officials detained Serhiy Kropiva, head of the cyber department at the Office of the Prosecutor General.
