Longer lines have formed at the border with Poland ahead of the holidays

Traffic is picking up at the Ukrainian-Polish border as Ukrainians are returning home in large numbers ahead of the holidays.

This was reported by State Border Guard Service spokesperson Andriy Demchenko.

According to him, 107,000 people crossed the border over the past 24 hours, with most entering Ukraine.

The heaviest traffic is observed at the Shehyni, Krakivets, and Rava-Ruska checkpoints, where queues remain as of this morning.

At the same time, the situation is calmer at other sections of the border with Poland—the lines there are significantly shorter.

As a reminder, former State Border Guard Service head Deyneko was discharged from military service.

A bail of 10 million hryvnias has also been set for General Serhiy Deyneko.
