In the Lviv region, someone was burning grass, and a Tesla caught fire

In the town of Yavoriv, a Tesla electric car was completely destroyed in a private yard as a result of dry grass catching fire.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Due to strong winds and dry weather on March 23, 2026, the fire spread rapidly across the area and engulfed the car’s body. The owner attempted to extinguish the flames on his own before firefighters arrived, but the fire quickly engulfed the vehicle’s metal frame and bodywork. No people were injured, but the property is beyond repair.

In total, over the past 24 hours, 345 fires were recorded in Ukraine’s ecosystems, covering a total area of over 140 hectares. Rescue workers are urging citizens to be responsible and not to burn dry vegetation, as any such bonfire can turn into an uncontrollable fire in a matter of seconds, destroying homes and equipment. This situation is unfolding against the backdrop of abnormal spring flooding in other regions and the ongoing Russian aggression, forcing emergency services to operate in high-alert mode across the country.

Kyiv residents were also urged not to burn dry grass: fines of up to 30,000 UAH are imposed for this.

As a reminder, a fire was extinguished at the Epicenter hypermarket in Boryspil.
