An earthquake was recorded overnight in the Lviv region
An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.0 occurred overnight in the Sambir District of Lviv Oblast. The earthquake was weak, so local residents did not feel it.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.0 was recorded in the Sambir District of Lviv Oblast on the night of September 17. This was reported by the Main Center for Special Control.
The tremors were recorded at 1:31 a.m. The earthquake’s epicenter was located at a depth of about 3 km. According to experts’ classification, the earthquake was imperceptible. There were no reports of damage or injuries.
According to a map from the Main Center for Special Control, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the southwestern part of the Sambir district, near Turka and the Ukrainian-Polish border.
“The epicenter was located at a depth of about 3 km. The earthquake’s magnitude was 2.0,” the experts’ report states.
An earthquake was recently recorded in Zakarpattia.
Earlier, a weak earthquake was recorded in the Carpathian Foothills region.
