Vygivsky stated that Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs is ready to share its combat experience with the Czech Republic
Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Vyhivskyi discussed areas for further cooperation between the two ministries with his Czech counterpart. He also assured that Ukrainian units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are ready to share with their Czech colleagues the unique skills they have acquired during the war.
"I held an online meeting with Lubomír Metnar, Minister of the Interior of the Czech Republic. First and foremost, I told the Minister about Russia’s round-the-clock terror against Ukrainian cities and communities—the destruction of civilian infrastructure, attacks on cities’ life-support systems, and strikes on food warehouses and gas stations,” Vygivsky wrote on his Telegram channel on Friday.
He expressed gratitude to his Czech counterpart for his words of support for the Ukrainian people, his understanding of the situation in Ukraine, and his offers of assistance to units within the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"Cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the Czech Republic under the 2024 bilateral intergovernmental agreement covers many areas, including combating cross-border crime, illegal migration, and cybercrime," the minister noted.
He added that they had separately discussed the exchange of expertise between our specialists. “During the war, Ukrainian units have acquired unique skills that we are ready to share with our Czech colleagues,” Vygivsky emphasized.
He also noted that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine highly values the support provided by the Czech Republic and the Czech Ministry of the Interior throughout the full-scale war.
“We are strengthening our cooperation,” the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs concluded.

The Cabinet of Ministers appointed a new deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Earlier, Zelenskyy appointed a new acting head of the State Border Guard Service.
Prior to that, Zelenskyy awarded Stefanchuk the highest diplomatic rank.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also dismissed Andriy Kuzmenko from his post as Ukraine’s ambassador to Qatar. The head of state signed the corresponding decree on August 25, 2026.
