In the Mykolaiv region, a minibus collided with a truck, killing 9 people
On the morning of July 4, a major traffic accident involving a passenger minibus and a truck occurred in the Mykolaiv region. According to preliminary reports, nine people were killed and eight others were injured.
The accident occurred around 7:40 a.m. on the M-14 highway “Odesa–Melitopol–Novoazovsk” between the villages of Krasne and Nechayane.
According to preliminary information, a Mercedes Sprinter minibus, which was transporting passengers from Odesa to Mykolaiv, veered off the road, after which it overturned and veered uncontrollably into the oncoming lane, where it collided with a Volvo truck.
According to preliminary data from law enforcement, 9 people were killed and 8 others sustained injuries of varying severity.
The injured are receiving the necessary medical care.
Police investigators are determining all the circumstances and causes of the fatal accident. Patrol police crews are also working at the scene, directing traffic and ensuring the safety of other road users.
The reasons why the minibus driver lost control are currently being determined.

Earlier in the Mykolaiv region, a fatal traffic accident occurred involving a police vehicle. As a result of the accident, a police officer and a man being transported to court were killed. Two other police officers were injured.
In the Rivne region, a passenger train collided with a commuter minibus that had pulled onto a railroad crossing. Four people were killed in the accident, and 11 others sustained injuries of varying severity.
